wine friday: semler malibu estate cabernet.

…we invited a few hundred friends and family members to join us for the most magnificent Tuscan bash we could dream up.  It was a warm fall evening, the wine flowed and we feasted on some of the finest food I’ve ever had (and I didn’t have nearly enough, as usually happens).  We danced under the stars as the big band played all the classics, then made our grand exit as husband and wife.

7 years ago was my wedding day – possibly the best day of my life.  We chose the Semler Estate/Saddlrock Vineyard in Malibu.

Breathtaking.

So tonight we’ll toast our 7 years and uncork a bottle of Cab from the vineyard where it all began.  Many thanks to my dad for this exquisite bottle of wine to celebrate such a poignant day in our life, 7 years later.
